Reports from the Executive Committee
President’s Report
- All in person events had to be temporary cancelled due to the pandemic. Events were run online instead.
- We continued to have good relationships with partners including Shopping Express, other clubs within UTS and other gaming clubs from other Universities.
- Our volunteer Lieutenants and Specialists were a big help in running our events.
- We collaborated with gaming clubs from the University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, and the University of NSW to form Sydney Gamers United (SGU). This allowed members in out club to meet and become friends with people from other Universities.
- We have recently been allowed to hold in person. In addition to the Friday event, we are planning collaborative events with other clubs to have at the end of the year.
Secretary’s Report
- This year as of the GM we had a total of 207 financial members. 192 were students and 15 were externals.
- This is a decrease compared to last year, but to be expected due to the pandemic for low interests in clubs and not being able to run a stall for Clubs Day at the start of second semester.
- The Secretary was the main Executive working on, and one of the founders of SGU. As a lot of work had been put into organising this collaboration and the Secretary hopes that future Executives continue to build this partnership.
Treasurer’s Report
- Access to the bank account was delayed due to the paperwork coming late from ActivateUTS and the first branch we went to did not process things properly.
- Hard to make transactions during the pandemic as two trustees are needed to process each transaction and must be in person.
- The club purchased a Minecraft Server which was used to hold online events throughout the year.
- Accepted a budget for a Warhammer playmat.
- Purchased 10 new keyboard and mouse combos.
- Bank account at the start of the year: $8676.00
- Bank account at end of period: $8373.58
- Petty Cash $0
- All Money in: $1965.57
- All Money out: $2267.99
- Pending: Nothing
Event Master’s Report
- Started the year with several welcome events and GG Expo 2.
- Immediately Afterward we had to cease in person events due to the pandemic.
- We ran various online events to replace the usual weekly events.
- The online events were run according to interest and the attendance each event had.
- From the 11th of August we were able to start running an on-campus event on Fridays.
Producer’s report
